Week in Pictures- Easter Weekend

This past weekend was Easter weekend! I searched for the past two weeks on where we should go and what she would do on the Saturday before Easter. To my surprise, nothing was listed on Facebook until the week before. We chose to go to the "Great Egg Race" at the South end of town since they divided their egg hunts into age groups. I was excited to finally take Haidyn out for Easter. She was too little last year to go since her birthday born 3 days before Easter.
She was so tiny!!!

We started off our little trip with STARBUCKS!! Haidyn and I always usually wake up around 6:30 am, but never usually get going until 10:00 am. Haidyn got to dig through her Easter basket before the hunt and try her first peep!  She loved it so much we wiped it all over the carpet. Hurricane Haidyn at it again! We had to be at the egg hunt by 9:00 am so we had to get going a little earlier than usual. BUT we got Haidyn her first Vanilla Bean Frap... that she sipped on-so technically we got Waymon 2 fraps.

When we arrived at the egg hunt there were tonssss of people at the event that I'm glad we got there when we did. There were so many free things to do at the event and you know me; I'm a sucker fo anything fweee!!! We tried to scout out where to go for the egg hunt and quickly followed the crowd of little babies. Haidyn and all of the other babies there were tortured by the fact that they could SEE the very colorful eggs, but couldn't touch them until the buzzer went off. Waymon went with Haidyn to fight over the crowds for some eggs. ... Ahem only one egg if that. Waymon had to put the egg in her basket since our poor girl was terrified when all the parents rushed to hunt with their little ones. So we egg hunted for about 2 minutes tops, but she was excited for the ONE egg she did get. She's learning already that quality is better than quantity.. or at least that's what I would like to think.

After our hunt we got our picture taken with the Easter Bunny! Everyone has been warning me that she might be scared to see the bunny, but I wasn't worried at all. She was happy and loved seeing the bunny. She, however, hated the wait to see the bunny due to all of the very annoying Nevada wind we had going on at the same time.

Q.T. Bunny time was quickly replaced by finding some food and taking more Easter pictures. We stopped by the water and donut booth to help Haidyn enjoy the wind a little better. It work since we got orange slices with the donut holes! Our Easter pictures for the event were a little cheesy since we ended up being in a Easter basket.

We met up with a friend at the hunt to see their kids and to see them off on their hunt. To our surprise their hunt lasted shorted than Haidyn's but they got SO many eggs. The girls were so sweet and gave Haidyn some of their own eggs so she wouldn't feel so bad. (Yes, you can start saying " awee" here. ) After watching the kids hunt their eggs we left the event to grab some substantial lunch at House of Bread.

pooped after the hunt!

If you haven't had their bread you are MISSING out. They have the best, fresh bread you will ever have in Reno and it's made locally. Waymon and I both got a huge sandwich meal and shared with our girl before going back home for the day.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~EASTER DAY~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We headed out to my in-laws around 2:00 pm for Easter Dinner. Haidyn was in her Easter dress and snoozing on the way there. When we got out of the car and unloaded everything she woke up to greet her Grandma and Grandpa. The joy on her face was so cute! Grandpa surprised her with a lawn chair and a toy push car and Grandma surprised her with an Easter basket filled with a Dr. Seuss Cup, bubble whistle and a little dog.
Dinner was served around 5:00 pm complete with baked ziti, salad, asparagus, homemade garlic bread, and cupcakes! Haidyn mowed through everything I put on her plate. She didn’t even make a peep the entire dinner. (ALWAYS a great sign! )  After dinner we spent time catching up with Uncle Colbie and the family while watching the Final Four. Haidyn passed out for a good 2 hours while we were there and was completely content on her day. I can only wish for more days like this past weekend.
I hope you all had a wonderful Easter weekend.
