Memorial Weekend

Haidyn lives for three day weekends, she just doesn’t know it yet. What she does know is that typically our three day weekends are spent out with Hootsee and Papa (her absolute favorite place to be). All week she spent hobbling around on her bad lag due to a trampoline accident the week before. She mustered up all of her strength to make sure she would be able to walk, run and play and their house and boy did that girl get back up on her feet quick. I’ve never seen her happier!

Our three days were spent with family, doing yard work, eating way more than we should have and cheering on our Giants (especially when punches were thrown  J ). Nothing too crazy for us, but definitely nothing short of an amazing weekend. Papa bought Haidyn squirt guns that seemed liked were truly for everyone. Our epic squirt gun fights were just incredible. I definitely felt like a kid running around squirting Waymon in the face (I cheated but that’s not the point ha!).  I got to spend a little time with my brother in law Woody! Isn’t he just the cutest?

I love going out there for a long weekend with the girls. We always come home with the happiest girls. Putting them to bed after a long weekend with Hootsee and Papa is always so amazing. It’s the first time you will ever see both of the girls tired beyond belief! I don’t blame them. Waymon and I were just as exhausted. This past weekend felt so much like summer which I cannot believe is right around the corner. C’mon summer! Bring on those amazing summer nights and memories. We all can't wait to go back out there soon.

May Meal Prep | Week Five

When I tell you I ate like complete S%*# this weekend believe me. My determination to stay on track this past three day weekend didn’t pan out at all. I knew it was going to be pretty bad, but you know what I have no regrets. It’s time to get back on the wagon and get right. I’m not worried about the bad eating that I’ve done because I had so much this past weekend! This week for our food we’re prepping four meals instead of our five. All our meals are Asian! Can you tell it’s what I’m really craving? I’m so excited for this week’s food! There will be no more Shakeology going forward as I cancelled my membership. It was definitely a hard decision, but for now I'm settling for the next best thing. Cheers to a short work week!

Piyo Week One & Two

Piyo is my new workout right before summer! I wanted something that would be low impact workout after completing CDF. Can you blame me for wanting to slow down a bit? Now, just because it’s low impact doesn’t mean I’m working just as hard as I was during CDF. Piyo is a mix between yoga and pilates so you know it kills! Sometimes, I feel like I’m working harder because I’m consistently hold my own body weight with all of my poses. This workout is pushing my limits every single day, which I love.  My posts about PIYO will only be down every two weeks because it is a different workout from the others I've done previously.

HIGHLIGHTS

My absolute favorite part of this program is the fact that Haidyn and Rory love to stretch right along with me; especially Rory. The girls are so use to seeing my hop around like a fool with my workouts so I can only imagine this being a big change for them to see me holding weird positions.

PROGRESS

Triceps pushups are getting a little easier! My elbow was a little out of wack the first week and I didn’t want to push that much pressure on it because I didn’t want to push myself that much especially when my body is clearly telling me to slow down. I’m getting through every workout doing more and more pushups because I’m making sure that I believe that I CAN get through them. They’re such a rough workout but so worth it.
