Beer Can Bacon Wrapped Stuffed Burgers

Now, I’d like to you to say that title three times fast! Summer is almost over but not quite yet especially when it comes to food! I love this recipe because you can make it on the grill or in the oven! Goodbye summer recipe blues! This recipe is versatile as you can stuff these burgers with just about anything your heart desires. We stuffed ours with peppers and onions to keep things simple. You will see that I put that the buns were optional. Trust me, they might be optional for you too. One burger is more than enough for one person to be stuffed on. Once you make this you will see what I’m talking about. I can’t wait to make these for Jon and try other things to stuff them with! I'm thinking more bacon and mushrooms!

INGREDIENTS
  • 2 lbs Ground Beef (we used 80/20)
  • 2 tablespoons of Worcestershire Sauce
  • S&P to taste
  • Onion powder, to taste
  • Garlic powder , to taste
  • 8 slices Bacon
  • Cheddar slices
  • ½ Onion (diced)
  • Minced garlic , to taste we use more since we love it!
  • 2-4 small sweet peppers, diced
  • 1 beer can ( you can use any can)
  • 4 Hamburger Buns * optional

DIRECTIONS
  1. Preheat the oven to 450 degrees
  2. In a large bowl, mix and season meat thoroughly with seasonings and garlic.
  3. Form meat into four round balls.
  4. Press a full can of beer into the center of each ball.
  5. Form and fold the meat into an even cup shape around the can. You can spray the can if you need to
  6.  Wrap 2 pieces of bacon around each burger.
  7. Stuff with peppers and onions.
  8. Cover each burger with slices of cheddar cheese.
  9. Take each of the stuffed burgers and place onto a greased baking dish.
  10. Bake in oven for 30-45 min. Make sure to watch these carefully because of the grease.
  11. For the last 15 minutes or so, drain the grease and fat from your pan carefully.
  12. Broil for 1-2 minutes if cheese is not melted to your liking.
