Our first family trip was to beautiful Seattle. I don’t know
what it is with this city but our obsession with this city is insane. There was
so much we wanted to do and see it overwhelmed us even before we reached
Seattle. We unanimously chose this city
for no other reason than to go and I’m so happy we did. We have the traveling
bug as a family and it’s so much easier to travel now that Haidyn is older. We
planned a fall trip for the entire family. This would be the longest time most
of us would sit on an airplane. Thankfully, we survived the trip!
All we cared about was to be tourists and enjoy everything
everyone else enjoyed in Seattle. Can you blame us? We were settled in Seattle
in the late afternoon the day we arrived, but we needed to make sure we saw
Pike’s Place at night since we wouldn’t be able to do much else. Thanks to our
friend Shane we were able to get a great tour of downtown because we had no
idea what was going on. We rode the Ferris Wheel , walked the pier and ate
dinner at the most amazing restaurant. The views at night were breathtaking.
Our second day, we toured through Seattle and Bremerton to
spend time more time with Shane, Ehren and Andrea! This day was probably the best
description of what happens in our family. 😊 We got a little ( a lot ) lost and the
entire day was unpredictable , but we made the most of this day. We got to
experience a ferry ride which the kids loved. Haidyn and Ehren couldn’t get
over the awesome ferry. We walked through Bremerton to explore this cute city.
We stumbled into so many little shops with amazing finds. We ended our day with
eating dinner with Andrea, Shane and Ehren. Haidyn was terribly sad when we parted ways. I can't blame the girl.
Our last day, we spent the day together in downtown walking a lot a lot. We spent most of the day in Pike Place seeing everything we could before deciding that we weren't going to make it to the Space Needle that day because walking around was great until it wasn't. We toured all of Pike Place to walk through the first Starbucks and the infamous gum wall . We walked through downtown shopping through what seemed like the most beautiful shopping centers. After all of our shopping we decided to walk through Japantown. Waymon was in heaven in the gaming shop he's only seen on youtube. After his retro game shop we stopped by a cool dimsum spot to eat because that's just what we do.Our last night we spent eating dinner at an awesome Mom and Pop dining establishment because we were basically told to kick rocks at a fancy seafood place . We could careless and decided that we weren't meant for fine dining anyways. We ate until we couldn't eat anymore and I had no regrets demolishing a coconut cream pie.
