Week in Pictures | Apple Hillin' 2015

Our second Apple Hill trip is in the books and it was even better than our first!  Haidyn got to experience just about everything this time around and made our windy 2 hour trip worth every second. Waymon and I decided that when she was born that we would create our own family traditions and Apple Hill is definitely one of them for us. We love everything apple and Haidyn gets to be outdoors for the entire day, every one wins!

Our first stop was High Hill Ranch. The smell of kettle corn surrounded us as we sat down for our sack lunch. On our trips, I’ve learned that since everyone is indesisive during lunch time and we really hate standing in line not knowing what we want so packing a lunch is key and it saves us a ton of money! We sat around the High Hill pond just before checking out all of the vendors. The orchard was extremely busy. Every line was long and would’ve taken all of our patience so we decided that we wouldn’t get any food at this stop and only check out the pony rides for Haidyn. She had so much fun on the ponys that she cried when we left and the ride was over. By the way, I’m so proud to say that my fearless little one was the youngest gal to be on the ride!

Second stop was El Dorado Orchards. This orchard was smaller and a lot less busy than High Hill Ranch. It was more enjoyable for us because we got to take our time scoping around what was here, especially the vendors! I’ve been on the hunt for a specific vendor every time I come to Apple Hill to purchase a winter beanie for Haidyn. (Review to come in another post!) She was set up and I jumped for joy when I saw her! I wanted to buy everything for Haidyn but I had to restrain myself. This stop was also the stop for their famous ½ mile train ride. Haidyn was over the moon for this ride and we wished it was a little longer than it was.

Third and final stop was Boa Vista Orchards. This orchard has to be my favorite out of them all. It has the best selection of apples, apple treats and a pumpkin patch! What’s not to love? We spent the most time here so that Haidyn could taste all the different types of apples and roam around the pumpkin patch while we got to shop.

We already can’t wait to go back next year to discover more orchards and explore with Haidyn! Until next year.
