Every year we go out to my in laws for trick or treating.
This year we decided to change things up since Halloween in our neighborhood was
on a Monday. There was no way I was going to make it out to Wadsworth with all of
the girls on a Monday. Since we were members to the Discovery
Museum we decided to check out their 6th trick or treat night.
Let me say that though this is a wonderful
event for the family. It’s not a wonderful event that the Wells’ will be
attending with their naughty two year old anymore. I would’ve been fun if
Haidyn was a little older and could listen more, but she didn’t listen the
entire time. I stood in line for her treats and she went off with Hootsee not
giving a f&*k about anything else. We even got dressed up as the crew from
Wreck it Ralph this year! Everyone said "Hi" to Vanellope Von Schweetz, but Haidyn could care less. Surprisingly, she pulled of being a "glitch" pretty well.
Let’s recap what we learned this Halloween about Haidyn.
- Does not give a flying f$%k about carving pumpkins
- No
shitsgiven about candy of any kind. - Standing in line for candy is an absolute bust.
- Survival of the fittest is at its strongest when cuts are threatened when in line for the slide.
- She will kick you back .
- She takes water time VERY seriously. Do. Not. Mess with her.
- Museums are her thing and if she has to do anything else in them , just don’t.
We spent an hour at the museum
before we had to drag her out of there. Luckily, the rest of our Halloween weekend and Halloween we were able to be at home watch Halloween movies, relax and pass out candy. Oddly enough, she loved passing out candy (and making people say please and thank you) more than she liked trick or treating. Maybe next year we will try again with our
little hurricane Haidyn. I have hope as we Wells' love Halloween too much for her not to conform :) Wish us luck to not go bat shit crazy with our
toddler.
Happy Halloween!!
