Working Mom Esstentials:Makeup Edition

I've found the perfect makeup combination to wear to work everyday. I don't use all of the products listed everyday, but I do use a combination of a lot of the products everyday. I like a product with high color pay off, lasts all day and inexpensive.

01. Benetint - I love using this for a quick blush . It multipurpose for your lips and cheeks. This stain is easy to use and you get so much out of the bottle.
02. Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray- I use this daily to set all my make up. It will save your face even if you are in the hot sun all day. I love this because a lot of the time I have to still looked pulled together after work and this does the trick.
03. Rimmel Scandal Eyes- by far my absolute favorite mascara. It doesn't smudge and it makes my lashes long and full. It also comes in a 2 pack at Target for $9.00!!
04.Urban Decay Primer Potion- There are 4 different potions out there and I love all of them. They each of their own purpose and do such a fantastic job of keeping my eyeshadow in place all day, even if I go to the gym!
05. Urban Decay Naked Basics I- This palette is matte with exception to 1 color as a highlighter. I love this for work because everything is easily blendable and not flashy for everyday wear.
06. Elf Color Stick in Sangria & Lipstick in Posh- Absolute favorite color of the color sticks right now. It gives great color, lasts long and it isn't too flashy for the work place.
07. Elf Marble Blush - These marble blushes have great color payoff with using just a tiny bit. I also love how it give you a little bit of highlight in the blush.
08.Bare Minerals Waterproof Eyeliner- A friend let me borrow hers and I wouldn't let her have it back. It's a lovely espresso brown which isn't too heavy for the eyes at work.
09. Benefit High Beam- This highlighter is easy to use and great color payoff.

Week in Pictures : Toll House Pumpkin Patch

Our second attempt to get Haidyn a pumpkin this year was another bust! It's not as bad as it sounds , I promise. Last Sunday we went to the local pumpkin patch in Reno. We didn't know which one was better than the other, but we ended up on choosing this one because we were heading to that part of town.

Haidyn was thrilled to see all the kids running around at the different events. People watching is kind of her thing at the moment. She enjoyed checking everything out with Daddy from the pumpkins to the small amount of vendors that were there.

Haidyn also got to pose with her pumpkins ! Even though most of them were already ruined. She touched everything at the Pumpkin patch simply because she could. So very curious.

Haidyn got to see their small petting zoo of donkeys, horses, chickens and piglets.

All in all, I hope next year we have better luck with our pumpkin search.

Haidyn's Cradle Board

Haidyn received her board a few months back. My fear was that she was going to grow out of it before I could get  pictures of her in it. Everything about the board is breathtaking and capturing our little girl and how much she enjoys it made it so much more meaningful.

Celebrating her heritage is something we're big on in our household. We want her to grow proud of who she is as a Native American and Filipino.

Week in Pictures: Apple Hill

Yesterday, we headed out to Apple Hill for the day. It was Waymon and Haidyn's first time being there. Haidyn went as a little embryo last year, but that doesn't really count :) I was nervous for Haidyn being in the car for over 2 hours since it was her first time doing so , but she did so good! Waymon and I were both proud of her that she kept herself entertained and asleep.

We made it to 2 stops in Apple Hill. We were in the hunt for a baby pumpkin for Haidyn and some good apple foods. First stop was Boa Vista Orchards.  This was definitely my favorite place in Apple Hill. Waymon and I ate bacon burgers with garlic fries , that we quickly regretted due to our breaths being rank the entire day.  On the plus side, the burgers were phenomenal . Haidyn ate the tomatoes off our burgers and milk. After we ate our quick lunch we crossed the street to scout out some pumpkins. We didn't find a pumpkin small enough for Haidyn to hold, but she did enjoy picking up hay and trying to eat it. We went back to the orchards to look through apple everything, but the lines were ridiculous so we ended up just looking at all of the vendors and leaving shortly after.

Our second and final stop was Apple Ridge Farm. Haidyn was napping for a lot of this farm, so we didn't get to the cool animals there, however she did wake up just in time to see more pumpkins and hay! She made friends with the cold pumpkins by babbling to all of them she could touch. After he babble session we left her friends to go eat an apple sundae ( filled with caramel, vanilla ice cream and a apple doughnut) and a caramel apple. Haidyn flirted with everyone that gave her attention at the farm and didn't mind that it was ridiculously crowded.

Haidyn wasn't ready for the camera,

She took her own selfie instead.

We headed off to Roseville after our adventures in Apple Hill to the mall and Vietnamese food. As you can see Haidyn was excited to be eating some good Vietnamese food. :)

After dinner we decided to head back to Reno to call it a day. I took shameless selfies to entertain myself on the way home. :) Waymon was trying to pay attention to the road, while his wife made a fool of herself . haha!

We didn't find our baby pumpkin, but we'll be on the hunt for one in at our local Pumpkin patches. We can't wait to go next year when she'll be running a muck at these farms.
