September Meal Prep | Week Two- Whole 30 Challenge

Week 2 of Whole 30 if underway and I’ve made a meal prep plan to help us to succeed this week. It’s going to be a rough workout week for me as I enter week 2 of round 2 of Shift Shop, but I know I will make it through! This workout has you take supplements to get though the workouts and I’m so pleased that I haven’t taken ANY SUPPLEMENTS for either of the rounds so far. I can’t believe that. I honestly didn’t think that was going to be a real thing for me, but I’m living proof that good whole food will do the trick. You’ll see the Lara Bars here because we’re using them for emergencies ONLY. Waymon works crazy hours and sometimes has to run out of the house quickly so these are for him. Kudos to my hubs because cutting off sugar cold turkey has been rough for him. My meal prep from the Shift Shop limits me quite a bit so it’s very difficult for me to keep up with the Whole 30 AND Shift Shop, but I’m doing my best to keep within the meal prep limits.

Shift Shop | Round One Results

Holy Shift Shop! I can’t believe this workout. This workout has tested me throughout the entire 21 days. I love Chris and I love how much he motivates you during the toughest parts of the workout. The workouts don’t get easier, I just got better. The last week I thought I was going to do. This program tested me in the best way even the eating plan was challenging for me! No carbs for a week didn’t suck as much as I thought it would and it ultimately, brought me down the better and lower than PRE PREGNANCY WEIGHT. Oh yes, you just read the correctly. I’m so stoked on that fact. What’s even better is that I love my body so much more than I did when I was at this weight almost 4 years ago. I EARNED THIS BODY with all my Mama stripes and the strength that’s come with it. I’m so proud of this body.

I didn’t lose a ton of weight nor did I lose a ton of inches, but this part of my journey will be my hardest. Eating correctly and for my body’s needs will be my biggest feat, which is exactly why I will be doing Whole 30. I want to see the difference of what whole foods will do to my progress and fitness journey. The rib cook off was in Reno this past weekend and you know your girl ate some ribs! So of course the weight pictured above is prior to me attending that festival. :) Life is all about balance right ? Now, it’s on to Round 2 of the SHIFT SHOP!

September Meal Prep | Week One - Whole 30 Challenge

Our Whole 30 Challenge has started! Waymon, my mother in law and myself are on the Whole 30 challenge this month.  We wanted to see what we could improve in our diets to get us to be the healthier and more conscious about our food choices. I honestly, want to see what it does to my body. I’ve been working out consistently this year and changed my eating habits drastically, but I wanted to push myself even further. I don’t want to eat crap because I feel like crap every single time that I do. I also want to rid myself of the protein shakes. I feel that eating whole foods will be more beneficial for me instead of eating a “easy” meal. I know that my hardest feat will be the sugar at the end of a bad day, but I know I can swing it.
