I’ve been looking forward to this mini trip out to the in-laws since we left them on Fourth of July weekend.  I know it’s only been 2 weeks but we can’t help it. We love being out here with everyone, it’s a lot more fun than with everyone around. We came up this weekend to take part in the Sacred Visions  Pow Wow with the family .  Haidyn loves everything about Pow Wow’s from the colorful outfits to the music so we knew that we couldn’t miss this one, especially since we want her to eventually be a part of them when she gets a bit older . She still is adjusting to meeting so many new people at once, but she’s adjusting well.  Aside from the Pow Wow, we also just hung out with the Grandma and Grandpa for as much as we could. :).

Haidyn’s first swimming lessons were this past Saturday! (Insert loud applause here) It was a huge success overall. She was a little scared at first but as soon as we started warming up with all of the kids/parents she was comfortable and having a blast!.

pooped after lessons!
Here's to another great weekend ahead of us!

This week Haidyn turned 15 months! (Insert every sad emoji here) We went to the doctor on Friday to have her 15 month check up. Here are her stats now ; H-30 3/4 in, W-21.8 lbs .  I can’t believe how fast time is flying with her. She’s grown so much since her 1st birthday that I can’t even imagine.  She’s becoming so much more independent and is talking like crazy. I’m extremely proud of her right now as she is becoming more and more familiar with how to communicate with everyone around her. She does have her moments where she melts down, but that’s completely expected for her age.
Right now, she is communicating with us through sign language ( even Grandma, Grandpa and Lolo know what the signs mean) , Tagalog (she can understand a lot more direction and she says “bottle” in Tagalog which is so cute) and English. I can’t wait for her to learn Paiute along with everything else. I really want her to be well rounded in her culture and speak the language.

This past weekend was also Haidyn’s first trip to the Ace’s stadium!! Our family is all about baseball and baseball butts :] so I was so excited to finally take Haidyn to a game. The baseball game is a company baseball game all of us to attend with our families. Waymon and I originally wanted to take Haidyn to the SF Giants game as her first game, but we also wanted to see how she would react to a loud game before spending that much money on baseball tickets. I had 4 tickets (Haidyn didn’t use one) so I invited Colbie and Nasaya to hang out with us for free food and drinks. I mean seriously? How can you not go to a game like that? More pics to be posted soon of our game day!

July is here and I can’t believe that June has come and gone already. I feel like summer is almost over. Where is the time going? I’m so excited to be spending this weekend with family. We’re heading out to Pyramid Lake with my in-laws and celebrating with them. I’ve lived in Reno now for going on 4 years and I have yet to see a good firework show. I remember the year that I searched everywhere for a good firework show with Waymon and it seriously disappointed me. In Fernley, the entire town got together at the Out of Town Park just to hang out and watch the fireworks. Literally, the entire town would stop what they were doing to see the fireworks. So because I really wanted to have Haidyn’s first experience to be very similar to that, we’re hopefully going to be watching the fireworks there. I mean hopefully, as in hopefully the kid makes it to that time. I think she’ll really enjoy seeing all of the colors and the feel of fireworks. I’m looking for a laid back weekend with some QT with my favorite people. I can’t wait. Pictures and recap to come!

So since my last update, I’ve worked out exactly 5 times. Hey! That’s pretty good! And I’m actually really proud of myself that I even made it that far. I’m only doing home exercises or whatever kind of dance routine I can find on BeFit on youtube, but any kind of movement works for me. Haidyn loves to do jumping jacks with me. She will sit and watch me work out and try to do some of the movement. I love my little fit baby! We’ve also been trying to get out more and trying to play basketball at night after dinner to wear Haidyn out. It seems to be working and I love it!
progress week 1

I hope that you all have a wonderful Fourth!

This past week we have been busy busy bees! We’ve gone to the Zoo, celebrated father’s day and our third anniversary and so much more. I can’t tell you how much I love our summer schedule.  I’m sure that nothing else will change come fall and winter. I feel like we’re always going to be busy with Haidyn now and I can’t complain. It’s so much more exciting to take her out and have fun that it was before without her. I also realized how boring I was before her. Who would've thought? haha
Here's a link to our week in pictures!

All of these posts on FB stating that Christmas is in 6 months this past week has put me in a panic. If Christmas is in 6 months, well so is my 25th birthday. SHIT! To slow down my panic, I made it my goal to lose the weight and get back in shape by the time I'm 25. How ridiculous is it that I will have to endure 2 months of heavy eating without really eating all that unhealthy until my goals are met. :[ Stupid December birthday .That's what I get for slacking all of this time after Haidyn, but I know it'll be worth it. I honestly, just don't want to carry around the old baby weight around me now. I want to lose it all and feel great about it and myself! I also know that if I happen to get pregnant in the near future I don't want my starting weight to be the same as my 20 week weight mark with Haidyn. But don't worry- no babies yet, I'm just looking out for my future self. Right now, I'm trying to eat better ( stop snacking when I'm not really hungry) , drink more water during the weekends ( during the week (I'm a water fiend! ) and stay on track with working out. I'm using Jillian Micheal's 30 Day Shred to help me kick off my workouts. I'm posting this on here so that I can hopefully continue to write about my fitness. Here's for hoping for the best and losing this damn weight!

I hope you all have a wonderful week ahead of you! I know we're ready to celebrate July 4th with the family.
