Everyday Makeup Routine

Make up to me has changed over the years. It’s gone from “I have no idea what I’m doing” to poser “glam” (because I still have no idea what I’m doing) to simple every day (because I kind of know what I’m doing now).  I’ve spent years trying to “perfect” my makeup look. I’ve tried so many different looks on myself and I find myself coming back to the same simple everyday look. I’m a believer that less is more. I try to accentuate the attributes that I already have. Being a mother I also need to get my ass in gear and fix my face within minutes because I don’t have a lot of time to spend taking care of my face every day.

My routine is simple and to the point. I use this look every single day and it takes less than 5 minutes to put everything together. It takes me 10 minutes for me to put my face on, dressed and out the door. That's a skill in itself. I’m more on moisturizing so that I can achieve that natural glowy , healthy skin look. That's my ultimate goal because to me less is more. My pre-moisturizer gel works wonders. I use this gel day and night as it leaves my skin soft and keeps it hydrated all day. Honest’s moisturizer is light weight and non-greasy. I love that! It works well throughout every season.

Onto the makeup, makeup . This eyeliner is something I cannot live without. (Seriously, I can’t) . I’ve tried to find a dupe for this liner, but nothing measures up. I love using this dark brown color as it’s dark enough to highlight my eyes, but not too dark that it’s heavy on the eyes for everyday use. This mascara lifts and separates my lashes and it looks so natural.

Using this cream blush allows for easy blending (especially when I’m in a rush) and it lasts all day. It never looks caked on. My particular shade is no longer available, but this link is close enough. I do love the highlighting trend lately, but this magic balm highlights EVERYTHING without looking too fancy. This magic balm really is magic! It hydrates and highlights all in one and it does so much more! Eyebrows have always been my weak point as I’m oblivious to them, but this brow pencil lasts all day and is easy to use so I stick with it.My inner child screamed with joy when I bought Haidyn her soda smackers set. I've stolen this one for everyday use. Not pictured is my go to matte lipstick that's too perfect for words.

I’m finding a feel for the products that I cannot live without . The latter is hard since I’m a cheap skate at heart, but these quality products are definitely worth it!

L’Oreal EverCrème

Now that my hair is growing longer and I’m trying to maintain health to it. I’ve made it my mission to take a little better care of my hair. With that being said, I was searching for a no harsh chemical and no sulfate shampoo that was still nourishing for my growing hair. Influenster has a thing for mind reading and in the midst of my search sent me my L’Oreal EverCrème Voxbox complimentary for testing purposes. I received the Apricot oil combination that included: EverCrème Deep NourishShampoo, Deep Nourish Conditioner and ReNourishing butter.

It’s hard for me to rave about hair products since I feel like I’m not the hair target most hair companies are looking for. My hair is long, course, thick and a bit wavy. I don’t even know how I control it most days. I spend a lot of money on re-nourishing my hair, but I struggle on finding products that will nourish without weighing so heavy on me and making my hair oily. If any of you have this problem L’Oreal EverCrème will solve all of your troubles. It solved mine. I loved these products. This is my first time trying L’Oreal hair care and I’m sold. It nourishes your hair without becoming oily. The scent isn’t overbearing and is just enough for you to know that it’s apricot oil in the product. I use the re-nourishing butter one to two times a week depending on my hair and what I’ve done to it that week. It adds a nice sheen to the hair that you can’t get anywhere else. I can't wait to get my hands on other EverCreme products and scents!

Superstay Lipstick

Most of you, if not all of you know how much I love lipsticks. It’s my staple in my everyday makeup. I just gotta have it. I’m a girl for affordability and long lasting lipsticks. I need to be able to go without a ton of touch ups so that I can keep being on the go.

I tried out the red lipstick on a “Mom’s Date Night” with my fellow Mom friend . We went out to eat dinner and grab drinks and this lipstick was my BFF. No touch ups whatsoever and it still looked flawless at the end of the night . * blurry after picture is brought to you by 2 amaretto sour’s .

Without hesitation, the next day for work I decided to sport the nude lipstick of the set . The color was very promising and would with anything for work, however when I applied it the color pay off just wasn’t there for me. It didn’t stay on at all and by the time 1 hr had passed I was so discouraged that I took off the lipstick completely.
What I do love about these lipsticks is that they are affordable as well as wearable. It doesn’t feel sticky or stiff when you put it on and being comfortable wearing a long lasting lipstick is important. I was a little bummed that I didn’t like the nude lipstick better , but I am in love with the red. I’m convinced that the darker shades of the line would be right up my alley.
